3mm minimum for each pane is standard; as the glass dimensions increase, so will the thickness of the glass.
Tempered Glass is used on all VPI Sliding Doors. Tempered or Impact glass can be used as necessary or desired on all other products.
A continuous stainless steel spacer is used with both a butyl and silicone rubber seal to ensure that the argon gas between the panes doesn't leak out, or that moist air enters. Our glass has a .05% failure ratio after 50 years compared to the industry standard of 17% after 20 years.
