I’ve had my 2nd installment of windows (and a sliding door) since the beginning of the year and the 1st installment for about a year… and to think I only wanted one window.
The ONE we wanted was in the back bedroom facing the ocean and we could never leave it open… (it was a slider) The day could be sunny and we opened it for the breeze through the house AND sure enough it rained. Even if it was for just for five minutes, there would be a puddle on the floor… Imagine if we forgot to close it… (and we did on more than one occasion). Just ended up keeping it closed… safer that way.
When they came over (just to replace the One window) and gave me the quote… I said “What about that window? What about that one?” You get the picture. I ended up replacing ALL the bedroom windows and the kitchen. (8 total) And was quite happy with that.
The windows came in and were installed. Besides looking great (the neighbors thought so too) they helped in cooling the house. BUT only half of it. And they were so much more functional. Of course we could use the windows facing the ocean now… and that was Awesome!
Should I replace the remaining windows (4 more) or not. It was an easy choice. I not only replaced the remaining Living Room Windows BUT also replaced my Living Room Sliding Glass Door. And very, very happy with my choice.
I live close to the ocean and the maintenance program gives me peace of mind that these windows will last forever… and I don’t have to worry about it!
